Saltwater & Scrollbars: Finding Creative Flow This Summer

As the weather warms up and the days stretch a little longer, I swap out my hoodie for sunscreen and my desk chair (when I can) for my surfboard. Summer is here—and with it comes a fresh wave of inspiration.
There’s something about the ocean that hits the creative reset button. Maybe it’s the rhythm of the waves, the way the sun paints everything in saturated tones, or just the fact that saltwater cures most creative blocks. A couple hours spent surfing or just sitting by the sea somehow makes grid layouts and color palettes flow a little more freely.
Being outside—whether it’s a beach run, a patio smoothie break, or a fun surf—reminds me that creativity doesn’t just live behind a screen. It’s in movement and in nature.
So this summer, I'm bringing a little more of that open-air, sun-drenched energy into my work. Think bold colors, breezy layouts, and ideas that breathe.
